Today's photo is of a doll I am trying to finish up. I like to take digital photos of my works in progress to give me a more objective view of what I'm doing. The 2-D image helps me see details that need attention that I don't notice on the real thing.
This girl's hair is just pinned on -- it will look MUCH better when it is attached for real, but I didn't want to photograph her in her bald state. I wanted to get a better view of how her dress is fitting though, and whether or not her expression suits me.
I'm pretty happy with her so far.

This doll is coming so lovely! I love the way you did her face/head and looking forward to final look.
Is it your design? Very nice!
Judi I really am not able to get that close to the birds, I just have a good zoom lens. The optical zoom on my camera is 12X and it has an additional digital zoom for a total of 48X max.
She is lovely Judi,I love her stance and the look on her face.
Oh how pretty, Judi! I love the face you gave her. Looking forward to seeing the completion of her costuming.
Isn't it strange the things you notice in a picture that you don't even see with the naked eye? I like to take pics of my faces really early in the process and usually notice one eye bigger than the other or lower or higher.. and am shocked that I can't see it myself...but, seeing it on the screen it is so noticeable...
she will be great....
She is looking lovely and graceful.
I take progress pics of my paintings too as it's much easier to see areas that need correcting when staring at it on a computer screen....so funny how that works. Your doll is BEAUTIFUL, Judi....such a pretty face ~ :)
Very pretty, Judi. I know she'll be a stunner when you finish with her.
She's coming along beautifully. The dress is stunning in it's simplicity. Is this your own design?
You have to be one of my fav doll artists :-) I agree with the other Judi - the dress is beautiful (as well as the rest of her :-) )..
She is beautiful. I especially like her face. She looks kind of "dreamy" to me and soft. The dress seems to fit her really well. Can't wait to see her finished.
