This little heifer was born so fast that even Jake missed the birth. (Darn it -- too late again!) The mom knew what to do though, and all is well. I wouldn't climb down into the maternity pen to take a picture of just any calf, but this mom is a calm cow, and once she gave me a good look-over, she ignored me and let me get on with my pictures.

I love this pics series- oh and isnt bub and Mom beautiful- what a lovely Mom letting you take the pics of her new born as well. I gather then not all cows are ladies then Judi??
and thanks also for the full pic of the wild white- I adore her- at least with her black nose and ears she wouldnt have problems with sunburn etc so many white animals do
