I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth, but, now that summer is finally here, we have been scrambling to get caught up on the field work that didn't get done because it was too wet, and also enjoying the pleasant weather to the utmost. In another post, I will show you my new toy and what it can do...
In the meantime, it is time to catch up with the weekly photo challenge. This is Sprite's month to choose the themes, and this week she has asked us to share a "Favorite Thing", with a focus on a piece of work we haven't dared to share before.
OK... here goes!
I did this little sketch in July of 2000 while in church. I was bored and the little sheet of paper provided for taking notes was a convenient blank canvas. I have kept it all these years because I am fond of it, as drawing is not one of my best skills.
Bad Judi, LOL.

She's really quite good..that little mermaid of yours.
I fell off of the face of the earth as well but I went to the UK for almost a month. What an adventure! Now..it is catch up time.
I'll bet you got a new tractor of sorts for your farm.
Lol! at least you didn't nod off and snore lol!! That is a lovely sketch.
It's summer...what can we do? It seems so short when compared to the many months we have of poor or wintery type weather....have to be out there doing what needs to be done and also actually enjoying what little great weather days we have!
I've not been keeping up with blogging either....I'm out there whacking little white balls... and some occasional pink ones too.... although I do prefer the whites....
Yesterday at ladies day I managed to par two of the holes...wheeeee.... that was great. Then, all of sudden you figure ..hey, I can do this... and you land in the sand and make a total botch-up of one hole that really messes with your new found confidence and totally ruins your score! arrrghhhhh.....
Oh Judi I love your sketch! It's wonderful!!! You should sketch more often and share em :D I'm so glad you posted this!! HUGS!
I love your sketch! The mermaid actually looks bored too...you transferred your emotions to your drawing!
