Photo of the Week - "Changing Seasons"

The hard part about gardening in this corner of the world is that the weeds find the weather much more conducive to activity than the gardeners do.  Or maybe I'm just lazy, LOL.  Anyway, even though the weeds are always ahead of me, I still love my garden, especially after the long, dreary winter we have had.

I took a dozen photos of my flowers this afternoon, but this one was so perfect right out of the camera it is the only one I want to share. As a rule I don't care much for daffodils and narcissi, but they are cheerful, especially on a rare sunny day in March.

And now, please meet Pleasure and Fun. (Remember the Doublemint Twins?) These two aren't really a sign of the season as we have calves born all year, but a set of twin heifers, both alive and thriving, doesn't come along every day.

They won't stay this cute for long, but they are adorable today.

Daffodils were my favourite flower as a child and I still hold a soft spot for them. Fabulous shot!

I'm with you on the gardening at this time of year... mostly it is non existent around here yet...too early. But the snow is melting quickly and the gardens are visible... ick...and ugly!
Dirty, brown...dead..... where oh, where is my daffodil? Actually I have a couple of clumps of them...somewhere.... In a month or so...I will be out there crawling around on all fours...moving bark around ..trying to find the little green shoots and encouraging them. Yes..I do talk to my flowers... I'm totally certifiable.

Love the little calves.... some of the best times of my life have been spent on farms.... even though it was some of the hardest work I ever did.... more people should have to work that hard to appreciate the easy lives they have....

I love your cow photos.... and yes indeed, they don't stay small and cute for long...and the big ones are pretty intimidating sometimes. And... scary if you get caught in the middle of a herd.. and squeezed between a couple..they are hard as rocks! Before I actually felt one in person...and almost got crushed by several...I used to think they were soft and "pettable"... like a dog...hahahah.....silly me!

Aw, but those sweet calves will grow into serene beautiful cows(bulls?) one day soon. I love them!
The daffodil is lovely! Mine are up only about halfway now. I'm not much on narcissi, but I do love daffodils.
